The big advantage of the Clear Camo Intermediate is stealth. The clear sinking coating allows the line to disappear into the water, while the camouflage core further breaks up its appearance. This makes it particularly useful in clear water, bright conditions or when trout are wary of a conventional coloured fly line.
At 2 inches per second, it sinks slightly faster than the standard Stillwater Intermediate. This gives you a controlled way to search the upper and middle parts of the water column with teams of nymphs, wet flies or streamers without dropping as quickly as a faster sinking line.
The 45 ft head is two line sizes heavy, giving it plenty of power for turning over long leaders and multiple flies. Textured hang markers at 10 and 20 feet provide a tactile reference during the retrieve, particularly when fishing flies right through to the boat.
