Renomed FT4 Hackle Stripping Tweezer
Stripping one side of a hackle is one of those jobs everyone does with their fingernails until they try the right tool. The FT4 is built specifically for it. The tips are flat and wide at 10mm, which gives you a broad gripping surface across the stem rather than a single pinch point, so you can strip a full side of a genetic cape feather in one clean pull instead of picking at it fibre by fibre.
It makes a real difference on quill body flies, parachute posts and any pattern where you want a tidy bare stem before you start wrapping. It also handles the softer stuff well, so hen, duck, CDC and Hungarian partridge all strip cleanly without tearing the stem.
At 100mm the FT4 is comfortable in the hand for long sessions, and the arms are shaped so they sit naturally between thumb and finger without needing a hard squeeze. Every pair is hand sharpened and adjusted, which is why the tips actually meet flush instead of crossing over like most cheap tweezers.

This is a single job tool that does that job better than anything else, and it costs less than a decent cape. If you tie quill body duns, parachutes, or anything where a clean bare stem matters, the FT4 will save you a lot of fiddling and a lot of wasted feathers. The wide flat tips also make it one of the better tweezers on the bench for dubbing and small material handling, so it earns its keep between hackle jobs.
