Renomed FS8 SuperCut Fly Tying Scissors (Blunt Tip, Straight, Serrated)
The FS8 is the big one in the Renomed flyfishing range. At 15cm long with a 4cm blade, these are built for bulk cutting rather than fine detail, and the rounded tips mean you can throw them in a vest pocket or leave them on the boat deck without wearing a point in your thumb.
The SuperCut blade is what makes them worth having. One edge is serrated, the other is a razor edge, and the serration grips material instead of pushing it away. That is the difference between cutting a bundle of synthetic fibre cleanly and watching half of it slide out the front of the blades. Braid, PE foam, thread, reindeer and deer hair, craft fur, Slinky Fibre, all of it cuts square the first time. The serration also holds its edge far longer than a plain blade, which matters when you are cutting the sort of material that normally kills scissors.
The extra length gives you leverage and a longer cutting stroke, so big saltwater flies, pike flies and heavy synthetic wings are far less of a chore than with a small pair of tying scissors.

About Renomed
Renomed scissors are handmade in a historic granary in western Poland by a family business with 30 years of craft behind them. Our take
