Renomed FS3 Fly Tying Scissors (Medium/11cm)
The FS3 is the straightforward workhorse of the Renomed flyfishing range. At 11cm long with a 2cm straight blade and fine points at both tips, it sits in that sweet spot where you get enough reach and leverage for medium and large flies, but still enough point control to trim a wing post or tidy a head without cutting something you did not mean to.
These run a plain blade rather than the SuperCut serrated edge, which suits a lot of tiers just fine. A smooth edge gives you a cleaner slicing cut through natural materials like hackle, deer hair, elk and reindeer, and it is easier to work right up against the tips for detail work. Keep them away from wire and heavy synthetics and they will stay sharp for a very long time.
The small profile keeps them light in the hand, which you notice after a few hours on the bench.

About Renomed
Renomed scissors are handmade in a historic granary in western Poland by a family business with 30 years of craft behind them. Our take
If you want one pair of Renomed scissors to do most of your trout tying, the FS3 is the easy answer. It is the classic straight tying scissor done properly, and the hand finishing is obvious the moment you close the blades. Tiers cutting a lot of wire, tinsel and slippery synthetics should look at the SuperCut models instead, since the serrated edge grips that sort of material far better. For everything else, the FS3 is all the scissor most people need.
