Learn to Fly Fish Day @ The Flyfisher Yea // 9am-5pm
If you’ve ever wanted to get into flyfishing but weren’t sure where to start, this is the fastest and smartest way to do it. Our Learn to Fly Fish Day is a structured, hands-on course designed to give you the skills, confidence, and understanding to start catching fish straight away.
Hosted from The Flyfisher Yea store (36 High St, Yea VIC) and run by experienced guides and casting instructors, the day combines classroom learning, practical casting instruction, and on-river fishing so you can immediately apply what you learn. With small group sizes, everyone receives plenty of individual attention.
We recommend bringing your own flyfishing gear, as learning with the equipment you’ll actually use helps speed up the process once you hit the water yourself. If you’re still deciding whether flyfishing is for you (we’re confident it will be), loan gear is available for the day.
Drinks and snacks will be provided throughout the day, and Yea offers plenty of great lunch options just a short walk from the shop.
