Premium nylon tippet with superb knot strength
Strong for diameter and easy to straighten
Ultra supple for natural presentation
A reliable all-round tippet for serious anglers
Frog Hair Nylon Tippet Material is a high quality monofilament tippet designed for anglers who value strength, handling and presentation. It is exceptionally strong for its diameter, knots beautifully and can be quickly straightened from the spool with a simple stretch — making it a pleasure to fish with from first cast to last.
Built from super high tenacity mono, Frog Hair offers an impressive strength-to-diameter ratio, allowing you to fish finer tippets with added confidence. Its ultra supple nature helps flies drift more naturally, improving presentation and often increasing hook-up rates, particularly in clear water or technical trout situations.
Unlike some harder nylons, Frog Hair also features built-in shock resistance to cushion sudden takes and protect light tippets during the fight. Whether you’re fishing dries, nymphs or small streamers, it gives you the balance of finesse and durability that quality tippet should.
This is premium nylon tippet we rate highly for trout and light freshwater applications.

Some tippet is strong but wiry, others supple but weak. Frog Hair finds the sweet spot — strong, supple and dependable with excellent knot performance.
Fly anglers chasing trout and freshwater species who want a premium nylon tippet for dry fly fishing, nymphing and general river use where strength, presentation and easy handling all matter.
Have to get knots right, compared to other brands I use. Make you moisten and snug up knots, or they slip
