Frog Hair Fluorocarbon Tapered Leaders (9ft)

$19.95

9ft fluorocarbon tapered leader for sink rate and abrasion resistance
Ideal when subsurface presentation matters
Powerful turnover with stealthy fluorocarbon performance
Great for nymphing, lakes, streamers, saltwater, and rough structure

The Frog Hair Fluorocarbon Tapered Leader in the 9ft model is a premium option when you need the added benefits of fluorocarbon in a ready-to-fish tapered leader. With a stiffer butt section and carefully engineered taper, it delivers strong energy transfer, excellent roll-out and more powerful turnover than many standard fluorocarbon leaders.

Because fluorocarbon is denser than nylon, these leaders sink faster and cut through the surface film more efficiently. That makes them an excellent choice for nymphing, wet flies, lake fishing, streamers and any situation where getting below the surface quickly is an advantage.

They also offer outstanding abrasion resistance, making them a smart option around rocks, timber, weed edges and hard-fighting fish. Despite the toughness, Frog Hair fluorocarbon remains impressively supple, helping produce a stealthy, drag-free presentation rather than the wiry feel common in lesser fluorocarbon products.

With an extra long taper section making up over 60% of the leader length, turnover remains smooth and controlled across a wide range of fly sizes.

Finished with a perfection loop for fast changes, these are dependable leaders we rate highly when nylon isn’t the best tool for the job.
