Unlike other ant patterns, the CDC Ant has standard hackle and a bushy collar so it will float far better than most ant imitators. Best fished on a dead drift, or drifted with a bit of animation.
When ants start blowing onto the waters surface trout can become preoccupied on them. These terrestrials come in a variety of sizes but all are equally effective on the right day.
