Patches don’t stick

I used this on my waders that had torn. I thoroughly cleaned the areas the patches were to go, and made sure it was completely dry before applying the patches.
I placed one patch in the outside of the waders, making sure every part of the patch was stuck down. Turning the waders inside out I applied Aquaseal to the torn area, being sure to do it on a flat surface and leave it for at least 24 hours. I then placed the second patch over the top of this for extra protection.
Both patches came off about half an hour into the next use.
Extremely disappointed with the patches. At least the seal managed to hold until I got back to the car.
