The Airflo SuperFlo Universal Taper Ridge 2.0 is designed as the do-everything line in the SuperFlo lineup. Balanced between power and finesse, it’s a line you can leave on your reel all season whether you’re fishing dries, running a dry-dropper rig, or nymphing with a small indicator.
The slightly overweighted design (+0.5 line weight) helps load modern graphite rods quickly, making casting easier at typical fishing distances. The 39–40 foot head provides a great mix of control and shootability, giving you the ability to carry line comfortably in the air while still punching out longer casts when needed.
Airflo’s Ridge Tech 2.0 textured finish reduces friction through the guides, helping the line shoot further while also improving durability and reducing tangles. The updated texture is quieter and smoother in the hand, making it comfortable for long days on the water.
Like all Airflo lines, it’s built from polyurethane rather than PVC, meaning it resists cracking, lasts longer, and avoids the environmental downsides associated with traditional PVC fly lines.
Whether you’re drifting dry flies on a Victorian freestone, fishing a dry-dropper on the Goulburn, or prospecting a Tasmanian lake edge, the Universal Taper is designed to handle it all.
Who is this line for?
Anglers who want one fly line to cover most freshwater situations. Ideal for trout fishers who regularly switch between dries, nymphs, and light streamers and want a versatile line that performs well across a wide range of techniques.
