About the Role
We’re looking for a Retail Floor Manager to join the team at our South Melbourne store.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll be leading from the front — serving customers, driving sales, maintaining the shop floor, and helping deliver the standard we’re known for across Australia.
Our customers come to us because we know our stuff. They expect strong advice, genuine enthusiasm, and a high level of service every time. Your job is to meet and exceed that expectation.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Deliver a high standard of customer service while maximising sales
- Assist customers with gear selection, setup, and advice
- Pack and process online orders
- Handle customer enquiries via phone and email
- Manage rod repairs and service requests
- Maintain store presentation, cleanliness, and merchandising
- Assist with stock control, pricing, and ordering
- Support ongoing improvements to systems and shop operations
What We’re Looking For
- A genuine passion for flyfishing and fly tying
- Strong retail or sales experience
- Solid knowledge across gear, techniques, and flyfishing scenarios
- A positive, motivated attitude with attention to detail
- Confidence communicating with customers and team members
- Ability to prioritise and perform in a fast-paced environment
- Initiative and a desire to continually improve
You don’t need to know everything, but you do need a strong base across:
- Flyfishing gear
- Flyfishing technique
- Fly tying
- Selling
- Shop operations
- Customer service

Details
- Location: 211 Moray St, South Melbourne
- Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday
- Salary: Starting from $80,000 + super (with growth opportunities)
- Leave: 4 weeks annual leave + 1 additional week for fishing/content
