Description
Flexistripper is an easy-to-use alternative to a traditional stripping basket.
The Flexistripper features no sides, but has other advantages over the traditional basket.
For a right handed caster the most natural placement of the Flexistripper will be slightly to the left, and for a left handed caster slightly to the right. How much depends on personal preference, and in strong sidewind, you can move the Flexistripper further to the side to keep it out of the wind. Under normal conditions the belt is carried around the hip. When wading deeper, simply move the belt up on your torso until the Flexistripper clears the water. The flexible high quality neoprene belt makes this possible with no or very little adjustment. Flexistripper is easy to use, and you will soon find the way to place and use it that suits you the best.
As you retrieve line, simply let go of the line over the FlexiStripper. The long flexible pegs will catch the loops of line. If the line hangs over the sides of the FlexiStripper, just let it – the flexible pegs will still release the line with very little resistance. You should let the first strip of line land on the water – this ensures that the first piece of line doesn’t tangle when you make your next cast.
The “base-plate” itself comes without the pegs installed, but all you need to do is cut the flexible pegs from the molding off at the base with a sharp utility knife. Insert the flexible pegs into the holes in the Flexistripper base (from the bottom of the Flexistripper, obviously) and pull them up until the hemispherical butt end is in contact with the plate. Don’t glue them in case one needs replacement at some point. Adjust the length of the belt and feed it through the two rectangular holes on the Flexistripper. That’s it – ready to fish!
