Optimised for best-in-class wet-slip resistance, the exclusive-to-Simms Vibram Idrogrip Flex outsole is engineered with a rubber compound that is softer than Vibram Idrogrip in our other wading boots.

These boots were made for wading

These boots were a winner from the word go. They were so comfortable and light to wear that they are the best boots I’ve ever worn, and I have no reservations giving them the 5 stars.

Getting old so I thought a pair of lightweight wading boots were in order for my annual trip to NZ.
Anyhow the above were an excellent choice for the larger boulders in the Upper Larry’s and those slippery “brown” rocks in the Rough.

Simms Flyweight Access boots

These boots right from the start have been excellent, regarding both comfort and grip. After four outings I decided to screw in some Vision studs I purchased with the boots. Just to see if studs would make them even better. With studs they’re bloody awesome grip wise. But probably 10-15%less comfortable after a long walk or full days wading a river. Just a little bit harder under foot. But seriously I should have bought a pair of these boots long ago. I have no hesitation in highly recommending in regards to grip or comfort. As far as durability goes, I haven’t had them long enough to give a wise opinion.
