Description
The Humungous was invented by Scottish fly fisherman, David Downey. As is the case with most wooly buggers, it does not represent anything specifically, but certainly attracts fish in all types of water. Although mostly used as a point fly, the humungous works equally well in the middle. Large sizes work well even when fish are a little shy. This fly catches fish in both lakes and rivers on a fast or slow retrieve although trout do enjoy chasing it!
