The ringlock tensioner improves the cutting performance and longevity by maintaining tension throughout life of the scissor. Unlike screw tensioners the ringlock doesn't loosen overtime. this loosening of tension on the blades is often the cause of scissors failing to cut consistently rather than the sharpness of the blades.
